01 / Commissioning

Installation baseline

Document electrical and ventilation readiness, operating environment, media path, firmware or software revision, ink configuration and the first nozzle check. Capture a known reference print before introducing unfamiliar media.

02 / Application

Material qualification

Identify substrate or film lot, preparation, profile, print mode, heater or cure settings, dwell interval and finishing. Judge the finished object through adhesion, rub, wash, cut or visual acceptance relevant to the job.

Approved physical sample, settings sheet and defect notes.

03 / Operator

Shift handoff

Translate the approved route into startup, nozzle recovery, loading, environmental checks, cleaning and shutdown steps. Assign who may change a profile, media preset or finishing interval and how that change is logged.

Operator signoff, daily check sheet and escalation tree.

04 / Maintenance

Condition-based escalation

Compare repeated nozzle patterns, cleaning frequency, media tracking and visible defect samples before replacing parts or altering production settings. Keep consumable and service history tied to the observed symptom.

Service boundary

A maintenance plan cannot compensate for an incompatible coating, an unstable power supply, an unqualified transfer process or a finishing step performed outside its window. Published speed also does not equal sellable throughput when drying, curing, lamination or inspection is the constraint. These trade-offs are surfaced early so the service conversation starts with evidence.
